The fifth General Assembly offered the opportunity to visit the Estonian demonstrator, where student accommodations are being transformed into positive energy buildings
The REN+HOMES project recently held its fifth General Assembly in picturesque city of Tallinn, Estonia. Organised by the Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), the two-day meeting on 18–19 November gathered consortium members to take stock of progress, exchange insights, and plan the next steps for the project.
The first day focused on partner updates. Consortium members presented notable advancements in technology developing and testing, and the integration of innovative solutions across the project’s four demonstration sites. Discussions also highlighted preparations for the upcoming second project review meeting, where key achievements from December 2024 to November 2025 will be showcased.

Day one concluded with a collaborative workshop led by RINA and ICONS, aimed at shaping the training packages to be developed within the REN+HOMES project.

The second day featured an exclusive visit to the Estonian demonstrator at Tallinn University of Technology. Partners toured student dormitories under renovation, where new prefabricated green walls, BIPV façade panels, and additional technical systems are being installed.
These upgrades will transform both student accommodation and family residences into positive energy buildings. While construction is still underway, the site holds strong potential to support REN+HOMES in advancing sustainable, energy-efficient housing solutions.

As the project moves forward, the consortium remains committed to accelerating the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and refining business strategies to maximise REN+HOMES’ impact in the energy and housing sectors. The General Assembly reinforced the project’s collaborative spirit and set a solid foundation for the activities ahead.
